An extensive 60-day voyage around Australia has been cancelled following the tragic passing of an elderly lady who was abandoned by the ship on a distant tropical isle.

The passenger had been walking on Lizard Island with fellow passengers from the vessel, but parted ways from the excursion for a pause. The vessel left without her and went back after some time after the ship staff discovered the passenger was not present.

A major rescue mission discovered her body the next day.

Investigative bodies are examining the event, alongside investigators and the official investigator.

The CEO of the voyage organizer stated that guests and personnel on the Coral Adventurer were notified that the continuation of the journey had been called off due to the "sad loss and earlier technical problems".

Through an announcement, he mentioned that guests would be given a full refund, and said the operator was working "to coordinate the homeward trips of the travelers via private aircraft".

Authorities also published an latest communication, and said they had "delivered a notice to the Commander" preventing any further travelers from getting on the ship.
