Three Athletes Named as Finalists for Young Athlete of the Year Honour
Announced recently
English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the this year's Young Athlete of the Year award.
The trio have been recognised for their outstanding achievements over the last year.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a unprecedented innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a widely-listened-to radio show.
The 2025 recipient will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on December 18th.
The ceremony will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.
Agyemang's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Football
Only 90 days after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to European Championship victory.
She came off the bench to score key tying goals in both the knockout stage games.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the best young player in Europe.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

Luke Littler
Age: 18 Sport: Darts
Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - while still 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
The Cricket Sensation
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin came in second place in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
"I'm deeply humbled to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it motivates more girls to get into cricket."
